Where? Türkenstrasse 90/Amalienpassage (U-bahn: Universität)
What? Best buffet brunch in Munich? They have delicious, home-made scones, pastries and jams, great muesli and quark, and tasty veggie snacks. And decent coffee and refreshing juices to boot. It is not cheap, but it's definitely worth the price. Go at 10am (it's hard to get a table otherwise), leave at lunch time.

Trachtenvogl
Where? Reichenbachstraße 47 (U-bahn: Fraunhoferstraße)
What? Another great Glockenbach café and bar. It's easy going and the decoration makes you feel like you are hanging out at a friend's place. It's great for a coffee and cake in the afternoon, a quick brunch on the weekend or an early night drink on a weekday. They have 37 varieties of hot chocolate.

Atelier Gourmet
Where? Rablstraße 37 (S-bahn: Rosenheimer Platz)
What? Another excellent Michelin-listed French restaurant. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable and the food is absolutely delicious. The beef fillet melts in your mouth. There is a vegetarian menu too, which is rare in restaurants like this.

Café Clara
Where? Isabellastraße 8 (U-bahn: Josephsplatz)
What? A friend doesn't like this place much because there are often (crying) babies around. But everything else about it is great. It's on a quiet side street and it has big glass windows, making both outside and inside seating very pleasant. Their savoury snacks are excellent: fresh, homemade and flavourful.

Necado
Where? Isabellastraße 48 (U-bahn: Hohenzollernplatz)
What? The ideal place to get a coffee on your commute if you happen to live or work nearby. It's tiny, and serves pretty much nothing but coffee, but their stuff is as good as, if not better than, what you get at Vits. You'll pay €3 for a cappuccino, but if quality coffee is what you are looking for, this is where you'll find it.
